Because nothing soothes a baby like dismembered hands/arms, right?!

I'm not really sure what to think about this. I mean, it probably does help soothe the baby somehow, but as a parent, how can you put these on your baby? You are an adult and you can see that you are putting creepy dismembered hands/arms on top of your baby! What's even creepier is that they are sold out! Check out this link: http://www.pregnancystore.com/zaky.html

Side note: the "discounted" price is pretty hilarious.
"Regular price: $44.95
Sale price: $44.95"
Side note 2: Imagine putting Handerpants on these (refer to post below)! *shudder
THAT'S TOTALLY CREEPY!
(And a big thank you to my brother-in-law, Matt, for sending this to me. I've been really bad about updating this blog the past few months. I've had trouble finding truly creepy things. I know they're out there, I've just been bad at looking for them! It's nice when they land in my inbox!)

Gag gift? Real? Real(ly) Creepy Gag Gift?

"Handerpants...Underpants For Your Hands!" I mean, the tagline says it all. I just noticed this is an Archie McPhee product, which leads me to believe that it's supposed to be a gag gift. BUT I have a sinking feeling that there are a lot of people in certain parts of the world that are taking this seriously and are wearing them for their "intended" purposes, such as "keeping gloves fresh" and "sanitary handshakes".  You decide for yourself.  http://www.handerpants.com/

Even as a joke, I think this is TOTALLY CREEPY!

Isn't it bad enough they're wearing bibs that *look* like clothes? You have to add hats too?

I have mixed feelings about this. You can apparently buy patterns to make old people bibs that look like clothes. With matching hats! This makes me really sad because I don't like thinking about old people getting to a point where they have to wear bibs, but I guess some people like this, or else they wouldn't still be selling the pattern, no? I dunno. I just think the hats add an extra touch of creepiness and add that little bit of "let's take more of your dignity" to this whole concept.

Double Entendre?

I'm pretty much at a loss for words with this one. This is a local ad for a store in Berkeley that sells_______??? I can't tell by the ad. I guess they sell secondhand pirate outfits for older ladies?

This picture is so TOTALLY CREEPY!

(Jane, you're the best. I definitely see a trip to Tienda Ho in our future.)

Make Someone Happy...Don't Show Them This Picture

This same woman was named "Hottest Female TV Chef by Maxim Magazine". Hmmmmm. Not trying to hate on fellow females, but I'm pretty sure if the voting committee had seen this picture, she would have lost a few votes.

THAT'S TOTALLY CREEPY!

(Big thanks to my co-worker, Michael, for continuing to find me creepy pictures of people and for sending me funny emails along with the pics)

What happened to "you can grow up to be the President of the United States"?!

hmm... waitress role play? that's just plain disturbing, in addition to creepy... what happened to parents encouraging their kids to Dream Big??!*

THAT'S TOTALLY CREEPY (and so sad for the little girls in this country)

*And special thanks to Jane. She wrote this to me in an email and sent me the picture. I loved what she wrote so I didn't change a thing!

Excuse me? WHAT did you do with the horse carcass?!

The headline says it all,

"Jasha Lottin, Oregon Woman, Took Nude Photos Inside Horse Carcass (PHOTOS)"

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/03/jasha-lottin-oregon-woman_n_1074050.html

I saw a mention of this in the back of a recent issue of New York Magazine where they have an approval matrix of highbrow and lowbrow things on the Y axis, cross-referenced with despicable and brilliant on the X axis. Guess where this story landed on the matrix? I refuse to look at the pictures, but if you do, let me know how long it took before you had to vomit.

Holy sh*t! THAT'S TOTALLY CREEPY (and effed up)!!

Baby or SUPER OLD MAN?! You decide

My coworker, Michael, sent me this picture the other day for my blog. We couldn't stop laughing about it because it's just so weird and creepy. It's a picture of a baby on a box of baby wipes, but something about his face just seems wrong. He looks like a REALLY OLD MAN.

This may be a case of "you had to be there," but I still can't stop laughing at this picture. It's TOTALLY CREEPY!

P.S. We looked up creepybabies.com to see if it was available so that this picture could find a home. It's available! I'm tempted to buy it. Thoughts?

(Thanks, Michael!)

What's worse? Too many apostrophes or not enough?

I know this blog is turning into a grammar blog these days, but I just can't help it. And my friend Jane is feeding me such good material. I can't just turn it down!

You would think that a company like H&M that has a punctuation mark as part of its name would understand how important a punctuation mark is! Ugh.

The way the sentence is written above, it's as if they're saying "we were working on our appearance, but then we stopped because we don't care anymore". HA HA HA! Just add a freaking apostrophe!

THAT'S TOTALLY CREEPY and horrible grammar!

Claming?

Oh SF Gate. Please just hire a 6th grader to read your headlines out loud so you can avoid writing headlines like this: "James Spader claming 'the Office' top spot"

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/07/07/DDNJ1K7537.DTL&type=entertainment

I know, I need to just start a bad grammar blog, but until then, we will file this under creepy grammar. I still think it's somehow TOTALLY CREEPY.

(Bravo, Jane for always catching this stuff!)

The baby's face is creeping me out

I'm not quite sure if this should be filed under "creepy" or "gross", or "grosspy", but I just don't like it. It's taken me a while to actually post this because I hate the look on the baby's face. It's supposed to be funny, but it gives me the heeby-jeebies. Maybe because it's a computer-generated baby? Or IS it?!

Why do companies do stuff like this?

That's Totally Creepy! And Gross!

(much love to Jane and Jess for sending me the link)
